UNEXPECTED WOMEN
Saturday, 29th October
Anne Gilruth Hall, Auchmithie 7:30pm-9pm
WHO’S THAT LADY?
Was your Granny a right case? Did your mum have a pal who has an answer to everything? As part of Luminate: Scotland's creative ageing festival, we invite you to come along and share your stories about them. We'll be talking about local history, places and family. Above all we'll be chatting about the women we knew, that we know - or even have just heard about.
A WEE PERFORMANCE
The evening will start with 20 minutes of extracts from Poorboy Theatre's new play read by John Buick of the Dundee Rep Ensemble and actors from the Poorboy Ensemble. It tells the story of a Scottish grandmother who travels to New York to track down her missing grandson.
TEA AND CHAT
The reading will be followed by a cup of tea and a round the table sharing of stories and memories in small groups led by the Poorboy team. We'd like to hear any stories you care to tell, and if you'd rather just listen that's fine too.
Leave a message with Violet (or her answering machine) on 01241 431448 to reserve a seat and a cuppie. We'll take £2 from you at the door when you arrive.
